The original model of a polymer statue, to be erected in the Marietta Harbor Project, will be on display at People's Bank in Marietta. The sculpture, by Carl Floyd of Madison, will represent a riverboat pilothouse.
- Tim Strahler, developer of the new Oak Grove Subdivision, said that workers have uncovered arrowheads in the wheat and corn fields where the 30-lot subdivision is being built. The property will now be called Cheyenne Estates and will be built on a street called Arrow Drive.

- Plans were confirmed for the preliminary work of Consulting Engineer W.J. Sherman of Toledo, who is here to aid in solving the problem of improving physical conditions in Marietta. Plans for dikes and raising streets will be prepared and the cost of each estimated.
- The Wainwright Music Company filed suit Saturday against The Stevens Organ & Piano Company and C.R. Stevens. It is alleged that the defendants failed to live up to an agreement made when the defendants sold their retail business to the plaintiff. The plaintiff asks that the defendants be enjoined from further retailing their products within a 100-mile radius of Marietta for 20 years and that they be given judgment for $6,000.
