Joe Campbell of Marietta snaps a shot of his son, Daniel, with the American Queen in the background Thursday afternoon. The paddlewheeler left Marietta at 5 p.m., bound for Pittsburgh, after its second visit to the Pioneer City in less than a month. The elder Campbell said seeing the huge riverboat was reminiscent of his younger days when the Delta Queen came to town. "We would hear the calliope playing, and my dad would put us in the car and drive down to the river to see the boat come in." The American Queen's next stop in Marietta is scheduled for Monday.
