Ephraim Cutler Street will be closed Friday to facilitate filling the Y.M.C.A. swimming pool. A hose will be run across the street from a fire hydrant to the Y.M.C.A. The pool contains about 120,000 gallons of water and will take six to eight hours to fill.

Marietta merchants have decided to get behind the Washington County Fair and do everything in their power to make the annual exhibition a big success. The floral hall, which was destroyed by the March flood, is being rebuilt, and the merchants will install many fine displays there. Tents will be spread about the fairgrounds to take the place of other buildings that were lost in the flood.
