Amanda Ferguson was in pain.
But after coming back from a 5-1 deficit in the third set to defeat New Philadelphia's Sydney Banks, 7-5, the Marietta High senior's hip felt a little better at Glendale Courts Tuesday.
"I'm just glad it's over," said Ferguson, one of three seniors on the Chris Mayer-coached Tigers' undefeated tennis team (10-0). "I had to win this if we wanted to go undefeated this season. I didn't want to let my teammates down."
