Drop off bagged leaves for pick up
Beginning immediately, Marietta officials have designated four areas for residents to drop-off bagged leaves: Indian Acres, Buckeye Park, Lookout Park and Greenleaf Landscapes Compost facility on Ohio 821. Only leaves can be disposed of at the sites. City crews will begin leaf pickup on Nov. 4. Residents are asked to not put bagged leaves out for the city crew to pick up. Rake the leaves between the curb and sidewalk, not into the street.
Special meeting of Wolf Creek board
The Wolf Creek Local Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the superintendent's office at Waterford High School. The special meeting is being held to approve the five-year forecast and other business deemed necessary.
Haunted Trail at Noble Fairgrounds
The Noble County Agricultural Society and Caldwell FFA Alumni will sponsor a Haunted Trail on Oct. 26 at the Noble County Fairgrounds in Caldwell. The Haunted Trail will start each day at 7:30 p.m. and run until 11 p.m. Admission is $5 per person. Please enter the gate by the Community Center. A food stand will also be available.
Haunted Cattle Barn in Marietta
A Haunted Cattle Barn will be open from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday and again Oct. 25, 26, and 27 at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Admission is $5. Children 5 and younger are free.
Costume ball, ghost tour at Anchorage
The Mid-Ohio Valley Ghost Hunters will hold its Halloween costume ball from 6 to 11 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Anchorage (enter via George Street). The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. There will be refreshments, prizes and scary stories. There will be a ghost tour of the Anchorage from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. for $15 per person. Proceeds go toward restoration of the Anchorage.

Bingo event at Williamstown High
Bingo will be held in the Williamstown High School Cafeteria on Sunday to benefit the Williamstown Improvement Network. Doors open at 3 p.m. and games begin at 4. There will be 15 games of Longaberger baskets and five games of Vera Bradley purses or Troll Bead bracelets, a 50/50, a country store, early bird drawing and refreshments.
