Eagles to host square dance Friday
The Williamstown Eagles will hold a square dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday with 4 Hits and a Miss. There will be a cake walk, 50/50 drawing and food available. There is a $4 cover charge.

Beverly Eagles hold anniversary banquet
The Beverly Eagles will hold an anniversary banquet at 6 p.m. Saturday. A roast beef dinner will be served to members and guests. Speakers for the evening will be State President Tom King and Madam State President Sara Favorite.

James H. O'Donnell III, retired history professor from Marietta College and author of the book "Ohio's First Peoples," will give a presentation on "Rufus Putnam and the Native Peoples of Ohio" at 7 p.m. Nov. 21 at the Cutler Community Center. Dave Zlatkind will play Native American flute music for the half hour prior to the presentation. Food and beverages will be available at the snack bar.
Democratic Women to meet Nov. 21
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the Washington County Democratic Women will hold their meeting this month on Nov. 21 at the VFW on Pike Street in Marietta. Lunch can be ordered at 11:30 a.m., with the meeting beginning at noon. The group will be collecting monetary donations for the Secret Santa project during this meeting. All Democratic women in Washington County are invited to attend.
Financial Aid Night at MHS Dec. 5
Financial Aid Night will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Marietta High School library. A financial aid representative will review how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and free materials regarding grants, loans and scholarships will be available. Seniors and their parents are encouraged to attend.
Post 64 Relay team plans dinner Friday
American Legion Post 64 will hold a Relay For Life Team Dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday. The menu will include chicken and noodles with mashed potatoes and green beans. There will also be dessert and tea or coffee. The cost is $8 or two for $15. The post is on Eighth and Wooster streets in Marietta. The dinner is open to the public.
