Police are looking for a man who burglarized a home on Harmar Hill Friday morning and a possible accomplice.
Shortly after 10 a.m., a resident of 308 Bellevue St. awoke to find an unknown male in her bedroom doorway.
"A lady woke up and a guy is in her doorway looking at her," said Marietta Police Capt. Jeff Waite.
When the suspect saw the resident, he fled the home with a purse and laptop and hopped on a bicycle.
A man who was working in the house next door got in a vehicle and followed the suspect down Pearl Street and across Fort Harmar Drive where the suspect then disappeared in the woods.
A K-9 from the Marietta Police Department tracked the suspect to the area around Flanders Field. His bicycle was located, but the suspect is still at large.
He is described as a 5-foot-9-inch male between the ages of 35 and 40 with blond hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a black winter coat and a red baseball cap.
A second suspect, described as similar in height and age to the first victim, was seen waiting outside the home in a dark hoodie. He disappeared when the first suspect fled, said Waite.
The victim was unharmed in the incident.
