Paul Dean Crock, 58, of Beverly, Ohio, died Saturday (Dec. 28, 2013) at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. He was born Oct. 18, 1955, in Beverly, son of Paul G. and Verna Forshey Crock.
He had worked at Central Ohio Coal Company for many years and later retired from AEP Conesville Plant. He graduated from Fort Frye High School in 1973. He enjoyed farming and his many friends. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Union for many years.
He was married June 16, 1979, to Cynthia Lynn Fitch Crock who survives. He is also survived by two children: Dustin Dawn Taylor and husband Robert of Parkersburg and Brandon Crock and Jessi of Beverly; three brothers, James Crock and wife Linda of Marysville, Tenn., Gary Crock and wife Cathy of Waterford and Jay Crock and wife Treva of Waterford; several nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Dwight Fitch and wife Nancy of Glouster, Ohio; mother-in-law, Dixie Myers and husband Dale of Stockport, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Debbie Crock and a nephew, Joshua Crock.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Monsignor Robert Kawa officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday with a Christian Wake service to be held at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Beverly-Waterford Rescue Squad.
