PARKERSBURG - A Parkersburg family received the surprise of a lifetime when they welcomed the Mid-Ohio Valley's New Year baby for 2014 on Wednesday morning.
Colton James Wolfe-Williams was welcomed at 8:08 a.m. by Dianna Wolfe and Brandon Williams at the Memorial Campus of Camden Clark Medical Center.
"I never thought he would be born on New Year's Day," said Wolfe following a cesarean section. "His due date was tomorrow (today) but having the first baby of 2014 just never came up."

Williams agreed with his partner's comment.
"Him being born on Jan. 1 was the last thing on our minds, but it couldn't have been a better day," said the proud father.
Both parents said they are pleased their newest addition - who weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and was 20 inches long - to the family is healthy.

- Parents Dianna Wolfe and Brandon Williams said they never thought their son would be the New Year's baby, since his original due date was today, one day after New Year's Day.
"I am just really glad he is here, but I wish he would have come sooner," Wolfe said. "I was starting to think I would be pregnant forever."
Williams said he cannot wait for Colton to grow up.
"This one is my pride and joy; he's my little man," said the beaming father. "I can't wait to do father and son stuff with him.
"I've always been a kid person and loved kids, so I'm really excited to be his dad."
Colton joins Wolfe's daughter, 2-year-old Abbigail, from a previous relationship.
