Pearl G. Smith, 92, of Graysville, passed away at her home on Thursday (Jan. 2, 2014). She was born on Dec. 25, 1921, in Shay, Ohio, to Comer Haught and Mary Tice Haught. She was a homemaker and a member of Point Pleasant Christian Union Church. She enjoyed her life with her faith, family and friends.
On Oct. 20, 1941, she married Gilbert V. Smith who preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1990.
Pearl is survived by her children: Genevieve (Jim) Bosner of Waterford, Glen (Angela) Smith of St. Marys, Dora (Ed) Howell of Wingett Run, Delila Howell, Donna (Mike) Howell, Elaine (Bobby) Howell all of Graysville; 21 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 14 step great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one step great-great grandson; brothers, Dale (Phyllis) Haught and Frank (Irene) Haught; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Edward V. Smith; great-granddaughter, Gwen Howell; and two sisters, Lydia Wallace and infant Faye Haught.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Jan. 4) at 11 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Jim Scott officiating. Burial will be in Knob Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today after 4 p.m. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
