Indian organization will present movie
"How to Trace Your Native American Heritage" will be presented by The Federal Creek Indian Organization of Ohio along with RIEOSO Saturday at the Cutler Community Center, 4550 Two Mile Run Road. The 40-minute movie begins at 11:30 a.m. and teaches how to obtain tribal membership, how to research the Dawes Rolls, Internet sites to assist in the search and more. There will be a discussion afterward. Food will be available for purchase from the kitchen from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Ballroom dance class at Betsey Mills
A new "brand new beginner" ballroom dance class, taught by instructor Bill Held, will begin at 5:45 p.m. Friday at the Betsey Mills Club in Marietta. The cost is $100 per couple for the 10-week session. Classes are one hour and are open to all ages, from high school students to adults. Partners are required. Warren BOE will meet Wednesday
The organizational meeting of the Board of Education of the Warren Local school district will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the administration building in Vincent. The board's January regular meeting will follow immediately thereafter.
Free community meal Tuesday at St. Luke's
A free community meal will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 320 Second St., Marietta.
Public forum focus on intersection safety
The Marietta Township Board of Trustees will hold a public forum concerning safety issues at the intersection of Browns Road and Forshey Road in Reno at their meeting to be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Marietta Township Recreation Center.
Fair board special meeting today
The Washington County Fair Board will hold a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. today at the fair board office. The Thursday meeting has been canceled and rescheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 16 at the fair board office.
