Scott Thomas Carpenter, 70, of Little Hocking, passed away on Saturday (Jan. 4, 2014), after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca, and his children, Jennifer Cary, Natalie Keller, Brian Carpenter, Sarah Kane, and Amanda Jarvis, along with 16 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Edward Carpenter and Lowell Carpenter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Estel Clare and Edith Mabel Carpenter, and his sister, Alice West.
He enjoyed a long career in the safety engineering field. His profession allowed him and his family to live in many places throughout the US. Scott was a loving and giving pillar of strength for his family. He was a swimming enthusiast, enjoyed boating and spending time with his grandchildren.
