For the past six months, area youths have been gathering in the evenings at the Marietta Teen Center in the basement of the Betsey Mills Club. A $1 annual membership fee provides access to the swimming pool, ping-pong tables, and video games.

Williamstown mayor-elect, Oscar Morgenstern, and Dr. A. R. Sidell, president of The Williamstown National Bank, participated in ribbon-cutting ceremonies at the opening of the bank's new drive-in window. Janet Dugan is teller-in-charge of the new service.
100 years ago
Buttons for the Church Attendance Campaign have arrived and are being distributed by the various churches of Marietta. Those who regularly attend church should wear one to influence others to attend, and the slogan "Everybody Goes to Church in Marietta" will be fulfilled.
