Linda Sue Burkhart, 59, of Grove City, Ohio, died on Friday (Jan. 17, 2014). Her unexpected death has saddened her family and the many friends she left behind who knew and loved her.
She was born on Oct. 9, 1954, in Marietta, to Roy J. Burkhart and the late Janice A. Burkhart. Linda graduated from Marietta High School in 1973. She was a graduate of the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Clinical Laboratory Assistant Program. In 1995, Linda began her career at Lab Corp in Dublin, Ohio, where she worked for 19 years. Linda enjoyed music, cooking, the Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Football, her cats Nickel and Penny, and being a booster of The Grove City High School Marching Band.
Linda is survived by two sisters and one brother, Debbie (John) Roberts of Westerville, Ohio, Pamela Burkhart of Marietta, and Tim Burkhart of Dublin, Ohio. She is also survived by four nephews, Sean Roberts of Durango, Colorado, Ryan Roberts of Columbus, Ohio, Kyle Burkhart of Dublin, Ohio, and Kory Burkhart of Dallas, Texas. She also leaves behind her best friends and "second family," Sue and Al Adams, and their children, Abby and Robert of Grove City, Ohio.
Friends may visit Thursday (Jan. 23) from 4 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7 p.m. at The Spence-Miller Funeral Home, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City, Ohio. Jim Donnan, Pastor of Livingston United Methodist Church, will be officiating. Linda will be entombed at Eastlawn Hope Mausoleum in Marietta after a private family service on Thursday (Feb. 6, 2014).
