Wilma Joan Plaugher Christopher, 73, of Belpre, passed away Thursday (Jan. 30, 2014) at her home. She was born on April 29, 1940, in Marietta to Mark and Hazel Plaugher. Wilma was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW. She loved going to the Station Carry Out for Karaoke with friends and family, as well as enjoying her flowers.
Wilma is survived by her four children: David Allen (Diane) Christopher of Arkansas, Larrey (Amy) Christopher of Marietta, Timothy (Trista) Christopher of Belpre, and Denise Christopher; 14 grandchildren, Jamie, Davie, Kayla, Paula, Leanna, Brian, Erica, Maria, Dylan, Latosha, Joshua, Rilee, Brandon, Allison; seven great-grandchildren, Taya, Haylee, Abby, McKayla, Adessa, Raygan, Leland. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Plaugher Palmer, and brothers, Gale, Rodney, Robert, Frank and Tony Plaugher
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland A. Christopher; parents; brother, Gilbert Plaugher; and sisters, Betty Hart Plaugher and Romana Gail Plaugher.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (Feb. 3) at 11 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Saltzwedel officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
