Charles Lambert Holtzworth, 58, of Williamstown, passed away Tuesday (Feb. 4, 2014) at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Charles was born July 12, 1955, in Parkersburg, to Martha L. Holtzworth and the late Howard E. Holtzworth. He attended Williamstown High School and graduated from West Virginia University cum laude with a degree in civil engineering. He was employed as an engineer primarily by UE&C and Allegheny Power. Upon retirement he traveled extensively around the USA via RV before returning to live in Williamstown. He enjoyed his family, his pets, skiing, computers, photography, and being outdoors, especially at his cabin in the mountains.
He is survived by his mother, Martha Holtzworth; his wife Cynthia Powell Holtzworth, both of Williamstown; brother, John Holtzworth (Rebecca) of Shelbyville, Ky.; two sisters, Sarah Vandenberg (David) of Lowell, Ohio and Harriet Collins (Patrick) of Williamstown; nieces Erin, Ellen, and Emilie Vandenberg, Marz and Adrienne Holtzworth, Leah Tribett; nephews Jack Holtzworth and Daniel Collins.
A private service will be held.
