Marietta and Warren will play each other for the second time this season tonight at 7:30 in Sutton Gymnasium.
However, it is very possible that it won't be the final time the two teams square off in the 2013-14 campaign.
In Sunday's boys tournament draw, Warren was named the second seed while Marietta got the sixth seed in the Ohio Division II Southeast District bracket.
Warren (15-3) will take on Meigs (8-8) a week from today at Logan High School at 6:15 p.m. Then, Marietta (9-10) will square off against Athens (15-3) at 8 p.m. in the same venue.
Should both the Tigers and Warriors win, they would face each other Feb. 21 at Logan with a sectional championship on the line.
Another scenario would be Warren playing Athens, a matchup that was scheduled to take place in Vincent this season but never transpired due to weather. Last year, the Warriors defeated the Bulldogs in a regional semifinal game at the Convocation Center at Ohio University.
In Division III, Belpre (8-10) earned a No. 9 seed and will play No. 8 Fairland (9-8) Monday at Jackson High School at 5 p.m. The winner would play top-seeded Oak Hill (12-6) Feb. 21 at 6 p.m., again at Jackson.
Federal Hocking (12-8) earned the sixth seed and will take on 11th-seeded Ironton (1-18) next Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Jackson.
The Division IV Waterford Wildcats will face TVC-Hocking rival Trimble for a sectional championship. The game will take place Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. at Meigs High School with a trip to the Convo on the line. Waterford split the season series with the Tomcats.
In the East District, 19th-seeded Morgan will take on top-seeded Dover in a sectional title game Feb. 25. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Ohio University Eastern.
In D3, Fort Frye was awarded the No. 2 seed and will face No. 16 West Muskingum next Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Meadowbrook High School. The winner plays either Harrison Central or Barnesville.
On Feb. 21 Monroe Central plays Martins Ferry at 6 p.m. at Meadowbrooks, while Shenandoah takes on Sugarcreek Garaway at 8 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Claymont High School.
Division IV Frontier received a No. 9 seed and will play No. 10 Toronto next Friday at 8 p.m. at New Philadelphia High School.
On Feb. 25, No. 4 Caldwell plays No. 12 River at 8 p.m. at Union Local High School.
