County GOP plans annual Lincoln Dinner
The Washington County Republican Party's annual Lincoln Dinner will be held March 15 at the Marietta Shine Club. The featured speaker for the event will be former Secretary of State and author Hon. J. Kenneth Blackwell. Tickets are $35 per person and include an hors d'oeuvres reception and silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by a three-course dinner at 6:30. Free HIV, Hepatitis C testing will be offered
There will be free HIV and Hepatitis C testing performed at the Marietta City Health Department, 304 Putnam St., from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday. The testing is free and confidential, but appointments are necessary. The test results take approximately 20 minutes. Call 373-0611, Ext. 186 for an appointment.
Square dance in church hall Saturday
A square dance will be held from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mercy Church Hall in Lowell. The dance, hosted by the youth group, will have music by Steve and Bev Pottmeyer, food, a country store and cake walks. Admission is $3 per person, $5 per couple or $10 per family. All proceeds go to the youth group ministry.
Cadets Relay team will hold spaghetti dinner, movie night
The Fort Frye Cadets For A Cause Relay For Life team will hold a spaghetti dinner and movie night fundraiser from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Fort Frye High School. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for students. The movie, Despicable Me 2, will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium, and the cost is by donation.

Legion Post 64 will meet Wednesday

Veto Presbyterian Church will hold a Free Soup Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the church fellowship hall. This free meal is open to anyone in the community.
