The Washington County Commissioners signed a resolution designating March 2 to 8, Ohio 4-H Week. 4-H is a non-formal educational, youth development program offered to individuals age 5 and in Kindergarten to 19. Four 4-H'ers were in attendance to witness the signing and learn how local government works. There are 35 4-H clubs in the county serving 750 youth. More than 1900 youth benefit from 4-H through clubs, 4-H camp, and school enrichment programming. They youth have more than 210 dedicated volunteers and community leaders devoting their time, talents, and knowledge to support 4-H. The theme for Washington County 4-H in 2014, "Grow With 4-H," reflects the commitment and mission of this organization to helping youth discover their full potential through positive youth development programming.
