Selby General Hospital's heating system was shut down by high water, forcing a transfer of patients by ambulance to Marietta Memorial Hospital. About 100 flood evacuees are being sheltered at Washington School, and plans are being made to provide for others at Marion School.

During the production of "Way Down East" last evening at the Auditorium theatre, a small missile was thrown from the balcony, striking a well-known local business man and inflicting a scalp wound which bled profusely. Police Chief Putnam, who was present, was unable to learn the identity of the offender.
