It was not a good day on the diamond for Williamstown Monday.
The Yellowjackets were defeated by Ritchie County 7-1 in baseball and 10-0 in softball.
In baseball, Ritchie scored all seven of its runs in the first three innings off Williamstown starter Josh Daniell. Tyler Reed knocked two base hits and drove in a pair of runs while Alex Lipscomb recorded the same amount of hits with one RBI.
Reece Westfall batted in the only run for Williamstown off Lipscomb, who pitched four innings to earn the victory. Reed pitched the final three innings to earn the save.
In softball, the Lady Yellowjackets had only four hits and scored no runs off starting pitcher Kenna Delancy.

Cierra King had two of Williamstown's base hits.
Delancy also did damage in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 and driving five of Ritchie County's 10 runs. She hit two triples and a home run.
St. Marys came away with a baseball victory Monday.
The Blue Devils edged Ravenswood 8-7 to improve to 3-0. St. Marys trailed 6-3 going into the bottom of the fourth, but put up a 3-spot in the inning to tie things up. Matt Houser, who went 2-3 with three runs batted in in the game, cranked a home run in the inning to lead the rally.
Ravenswood regained the lead with a run in the top of the sixth, but the Devils touched home plate once apiece in the final two innings to pick up the walkoff victory.
Michael Strout started on the mound for St. Marys, giving up six runs on nine hits in 3.2 innings. Jarrod Lough came on in relief, surrendering just one run on four hits in 3.1 innings pitched to earn the win.
