David Gregory Weber passed away on Saturday (April 26, 2014) in the Huntsman Cancer Institute following a courageous battle with Leukemia.
He was born on June 27, 1955, in Marietta, to Delbert and Berneda (May) Weber. Dave attended Ohio University and graduated with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked for Schlumberger for 28 years before retiring.
David was an active member of the Uinta Bible Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors and raising and harvesting hay. He was a pilot and loved flying. More than anything else he loved his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He married Lavonda Brennon Short on June 23, 2007 in Salt Lake City.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lavonda, his son, John Weber, and daughter, Brenda (Kristopher) Simons, all of Evanston; three grandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Brenda) Weber, of Forest, Virginia, and William Bill (Connie) Weber of Canton, Ohio; and his parents, Delbert and Berneda Weber of Marietta.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet.
Funeral services will be on Thursday (May 1, 2014) at the Uinta Bible Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Evanston Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
