A special thank you to all of the supporters of the American Legion Unit 64's Longaberger basket bingo of which the proceeds will go to support the "Survivors of the Fallen Hero's Camp" and the Wounded Warriors.
The camp is run completely with donations. The cost is approximately $1,000 per family, which includes room, board and all activities for three days. The camp offers some of their own activities, and many military personnel will be there to work with crafts, opportunities to honor their loved one, social activities to open lines of communication and some program embedded grief counseling. This family camp will happen in the fall of October 2014 in southwest Ohio, Camp Joy. The Wounded Warriors donation goes into our VA and R Hospital projects.
The success of this fundraiser was due to the tireless work and donations of the unit members and Legionnaires, Longaberger basket consultants, and the generosity of the merchants of our community.
