Community pitches in for Newport’s new swings

May 6, 2014
The Marietta Times

The Newport Elementary PTO would like to thank the Sutphin and Perkins families for their generous monetary donations for the wonderful addition of our 10 new swings in the front playground. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to all who helped work to get this addition done. Those giving of their time and talents were Greg Morus, Tim and Tammy Barrows, Bobbie and Jonathan Mendenhall, Shane Binegar, Jeff Binegar, Tyler Binegar, Todd Collins, Bill Greenwood, Kyle Greenwood, Wesley Kidd, Jodi Bland, Mike Bush, Will Childress, Jeremy Buck, Don (a welder from the Newport Campground), Eric Congleton, Gary Congleton and Brady and Pam Binegar. This is a great addition for not only the students at the school, but for the community as well. They are already getting great use. Thanks again for making a great and much needed improvement possible. We are very fortunate to have such wonderful volunteerism in our school and community
