More than 100 inches of hair cut at Hair Hoopla

May 8, 2014
The Marietta Times

The Building Bridges to Careers and the Washington Elementary Woven Hearts Relay For Life team would like to thank the following businesses and organizations that helped make our "Hair Hoopla" on May 2, a successful evening. First of all, we would like to thank the hair salons that participated. They are: Jenna's Salon, Sheila's Hair Shoppe and Tanning, Great Clips, Melanie's Design Specialists, The Connection Day Spa, and the WCCC Adult Technical Training Cosmetology program for cutting hair to be donated to Locks of Love and Pantene. Also, we would like to thank the Levee House, Medi Home Health and Hospice, Warren's IGA, and the Washington Elementary PTO for providing snacks for the evening. Of course, our final thank you goes to the students, families, Washington staff, and the community for supporting our event. Over 100 inches of hair was cut, many heads were shaved, and $764 for the Washington County Relay For Life. We couldn't have done it without your support!
