Leland A. ‘Skip’ Love

Leland A. "Skip" Love, 69, of Stockport, died on Wednesday (May 7, 2014) at his residence.

He was born on Jan. 22, 1945, in Quailey, Ohio, near Cutler, to the late Leland G. and Kathleen Wilcoxen Love. He was a truck driver for Tom Mayle and Sons Construction in Bartlett. He was a member of the Beverly American Legion and Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Shook Love; one son, Leland B. (Sherri) Love of Grove City; one daughter, Sherri (Gary) Gorrell of Georgetown, Kentucky; two brothers, Dave (Cheryl) Love of Bartlett and Doug (Sharon) Love of Marietta; three sisters, Ellen Foreman of Bartlett, Jean (Don) Brothers of North Carolina and Becky (Marty) LeCroy of North Carolina; and four grandchildren, Raegan, Carter, Stone and Brianna.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Danny.

A caring cremation is taking place at his request and a memorial service will be held at a later date and time. Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill is handling the arrangements.
