Vicki Lynne Hanzelka, 47, of Vincent, Ohio, passed away Sunday (May 11, 2014).
She was born July 22, 1966, in Blytheville, Arkansas, a daughter of Melvin and Glenda Potter of Neon, Ky. She was born again on June 8, 1997, receiving Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
Vicki was a substitute teacher and school secretary. She loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing, spending time with her grandchildren and was a House Goddess to her family.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Michael D. Hanzelka; one daughter, Ashley Elliott of Portland, Texas; two brothers, Tim Potter and Jeff Potter and wife, Charlene, all of Neon, Ky.; and grandchildren, Stacy and Elaine Thomson.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Alta Mosgrove and Jesse and Mary Potter; and her brother, Julius Wayne Maggard.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Thursday (May 15) at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Belpre, with Pastor David Ellenwood officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
