Paul E. Dershem, 73, of Dublin, Ohio, died May 21, 2014, after a courageous battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He was surrounded by his immediate family at Kobacker House in Columbus at the time of his death.
Born July 19, 1940, in Bradford, Ohio, Paul earned an associate of applied science degree in industrial engineering technology from Purdue University. He spent 23 years as manager of manufacturing engineering and quality control with Kardex Systems in Marietta. He retired in 1997 before moving to Dublin.
Paul is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharalyn (Sando); daughters, Terri (Bob) Goldring of Powell, and Shari (Gary) Dailey of Worthington; grandsons, Sam and Max Goldring and Scott of Cleveland, and Corey and Steven Dailey; and a sister, Linda Feitshans of Arcanum. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul F. and Elsie Irene Dershem.
Paul was a member of the Porsche Club of America and the Dublin Senior Golf Club and was past president of the Weybridge HOA of Muirfield. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A member of the Powell United Methodist Church, a memorial service will be held in Paulas honor at 11 a.m., June 6, at the church.
