MC women to host hoops camps
Marietta College head women's basketball coach Stacia Shrider announced the Pioneers' camp schedule for the upcoming summer. Marietta will host a pair of Shootouts as well as a weekend residential camp.
Open to both varsity and junior varsity teams, the shootouts will be held June 21-22 and June 28-29. The residential camp will run from August 1-3 and is open to girls entering grades 5-10.
MC football youth skills camp
Marietta College head football coach Andy Waddle announced that the Pioneers will hold a youth skills camp for athletes in grades 2-8 from June 23-27. The camp will be directed by Pioneer assistant coach Alan Estep.
Campers will get the opportunity to learn the basic skills at all positions. Coaching will be provided by current Marietta College staff and players.
The camp will conclude with a combine and skills competition on Friday evening.
Registration costs are $90 per child (if registered by June 15th), $100 per child (after June 15th), $75 for a second child and $60 for each additional sibling.
at MCC June 28
The Marietta Tiger Men's golf team is hosting its 7th annual Tiger Men's Golf Scramble Saturday, June 28 at the Marietta Country Club. Shotgun start at 8 a.m. Four person scramble is $250 per team.
Fees include Cart, Green Fees, Mulligans, Tee Busters, Lunch and Refreshments. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, and skill prizes.

'Launch It' throws camp June 13-14
The 2nd annual "Launch It" Track and Field Throws Camp will be held at Williamstown Track and Field Complex on June 13-14 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Cost is $80 for two days and %50 for one.
callouts on June 10
The Marietta Youth League will be holding Cheerleading callouts for any girl in the Marietta City School District going into grades 4th-6th for the 2014-2015 School Year. Callouts will be held at Cheermania located in the Layefette Plaza behind JoAnn Fabrics on Tuesday, June 10 at 7 p.m.
Any girl interested in cheering needs to be registered that night.
