The Housing and Home Finance Agency approved a $600,000 government loan to Marietta College for the construction of a new dormitory. Temporarily called Marietta Hall, the building will house 120 women.

Frank Norwood, proprietor of the Imperial restaurant in Williamstown, was arrested for assault and battery on Mrs. Ellen Biddle, a cook at the establishment who demanded her due wages and was roughly treated. Norwood recently advertised in the Marietta Times newspaper to find a wife who is a good cook.
