Rebecca Myrtle Templeton, 93, St. Marys, W.Va., widow of Leroy Templeton, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014, at The Heritage in St. Marys.
Born on March 16, 1921, in Pleasants County, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Luther and Anna Scadden Plumm.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, attending engine shows with her husband and spending time with family. Rebecca attended Calcutta Methodist Church and Pine Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruby (Frank) Sellers, St. Marys; six grandchildren, Elaine (Rex) Evans, Anderson, S.C., Lisa (David Taylor, fiance) Holzapfel, Manassas, Va., Steve Sellers, Williamstown, Michael (Becky Wolfe) Templeton, Barlow, Ohio, Sena Templeton, Pittsburgh, and Sierra Templeton, Chicago; eight great-grandchildren, Corbin and Zakery Holzapfel, Manassas, Va., Gunner Sellers, Williamstown, Cody and Kaitley Sellers, Poca, W.Va., Bryce Templeton, Barlow, Ohio, Carissa Evans, Anderson, S.C., and Samantha Hammond, Goshen, Ill.; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; three sisters, Lorene Templeton, Alberta Templeton and Mary Zubreski, St. Marys; and two sisters-in-law, Juanita Taylor and Gertrude Scadden, St. Marys. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, James W. Templeton; sisters, Beulah DeMoss, Belva Heath and Estaleen Mulneix; and brothers, Palmer Plumm and Luther Plumm, Jr.
Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, June 12, at Ingram Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Willow Island Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, at the funeral home.
