Linda Faye Lutes, 62, of Williamstown, went to be with her Lord on June 8, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Montgomery, W.Va., Oct. 23, 1951, a daughter of Clarence Bess, Sr. of Cannelton, W.Va., and the late Ruby F. Humphries Bess.
Linda was a 1970 graduate of Montgomery High School. She was a loving wife, mother and sister. She enjoyed camping with her family and friends and spending time with her beloved dogs, Izzy, Ceci, and the recently departed, Abby.
In addition to her father, Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 39 years, Ray E. Lutes; her children, Dawn Lutes and Erica Lutes; her sisters, Marilyn Butcher (Allen), Jeanne Johnson, Vicky Moore, Marie Comer (Mike) and Helen Schoolcraft (Richard); and her brothers, Clarence "Sonny" Bess, Jr. (Jo), Gary Bess (Tina), Timmy Bess (Debbie), Richard "Dicky" Bess (Becky) and Mark Bess (Gwen). In addition to her mother, Linda was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Myers and Carolyn Sue Bess.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 12, at Faith Bible Church of Williamstown, with Pastor Steve DeLay officiating. Entombment will be at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, and from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, June 12, at the church prior to the service.
