Dorothy J. Lauderman, 75, of Williamstown, passed away at 4 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at her home.
She was born Sept. 30, 1938, in Dexter City, Ohio, a daughter of Benjamin Corp VI and Ethel Seevers Corp.
She had been employed at Marietta Memorial Hospital and later employed at Big Bear Store. On Aug. 23, 1958, she married Lawrence Lauderman, who preceded her in death on June 25, 2008. Dorothy is survived by two sons and one daughter, Lawrence Leroy (Vickie) Lauderman, Gary Dean (Sarah) Lauderman and Linda (William) Smith, all of Williamstown; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; grandson, Ronald Lauderman, Jr., who was raised in the home; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Martin and Iva Lauderman; and friend, Carolyn Brookover. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Ronald Lauderman, Sr.; and her special companion, "Punk'n."
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 13, at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, with Charles Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. with family present from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, June 12, at the funeral home.
