- A budget request for $2,210,825 for total expenditures in the general fund for 1965 was approved by the Marietta Board of Education Monday night.
- The state's division of conservation wants a nice large shovel-head catfish for its Ohio State Fair exhibit and has written Game Warden Harry E. Wehrs seeking co-operation in the desired catch. The man who captures a live one weighing 30 to 40 pounds will earn something to his "advantage" by getting in touch with the game warden.
- Rain, which to the corn crop alone had an estimated value in excess of $2,000,000 fell in Ohio yesterday, breaking a long drought and bringing relief from intense heat.
