BELPRE - The 82nd annual Belpre Homecoming Festival will feature three days of activities, entertainment and attractions from July 31-Aug. 2 at Civitan Park in Belpre.
Headlining the slate of entertainers for the weekend is "Hotel California, A Salute to the Eagles," performing July 31 on the main stage at Civitan Park.
For Belpre Homecoming's Youth Night on Friday, the festival will feature country performer Tristen Smith, of St. Clairsville.
The final headliner of Belpre Homecoming will be country singer/songwriter and Ohio native Zack Paxson on Aug. 2. Paxson recorded his first CD "Good Luck with That" in 2011, and followed it with his second "A Simple Life."
Other performers featured during the Belpre Homecoming will include Brooks and Ivey, High Schools that Rock, Brian Worst and Jody Haught.
This year's Belpre Homecoming will also feature other traditional celebrations, attractions and food/crafter and commercial vendors. The Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce, the Belpre Invitational Homecoming Association and Belpre Lions Club will sponsor the 82nd annual Belpre Homecoming Parade at 10 a.m. Aug. 2.

6 p.m.: Carnival Rides/Games.
6:30 p.m.: Opening Ceremonies with Lighting of the Torch.
7 p.m.: Little Miss/Mister Pageant.
8:30 p.m.: Eagles Tribute Band "Hotel California"(Suddenlink Main Stage).
5 p.m.: Cruise-In.
6 p.m.: Carnival Rides/Games and "Youth Night"; Junior Miss Belpre Pageant.
6-7 p.m.: Belpre Youth Chamber Games: Balloon Launch and Hula-hoop contest at Ballfield.
7 p.m.: Little Free Library Dedication at Gazebo.
7:30 p.m.: Brooks and Ivey (Suddenlink Main Stage).
8 p.m.: High Schools That Rock (Suddenlink Main Stage).
9 p.m.: Tristen Smith (Suddenlink Main Stage).
7 a.m.: Buddy Bass Fishing Tournament (Belpre Boat Ramp).
9 a.m.: Kids Fishing Derby (Civitan Park Pond).
9:40 a.m.: Belpre Mile Run and Walk (Howes Grove Park).
10 a.m.: 82nd Belpre Homecoming Parade.
Noon: Carnival Rides/Games until 4 p.m.
2-4 p.m.: Brian Worst (Suddenlink Main Stage).
6 p.m.: Carnival Rides/Games.
7 p.m.: Miss Teen and Miss Belpre Pageants.
8 p.m.: Jody Haught (Suddenlink Main Stage).
9:30 p.m.: Zach Paxson (Suddenlink Main Stage); Duck Pluck Winners drawn at Belpre Municipal Pool.
Amusement rides will be open throughout the event.
The Belpre Homecoming pageants will include: Little Miss/Mister (ages 5-8) on July 31, Junior Miss (ages 9-12) on Aug. 1 and Miss Teen Belpre (ages 13-16) and Miss Belpre (ages 17-20) on Aug. 2.
The BACC will also be holding its second "Duck Pluck" fundraiser offering cash prizes to winners whose ducks are "plucked" from Belpre Municipal Swimming Pool on Saturday. A $5 ticket gives purchasers a chance to win cash prizes totaling $1,000 and five tickets can be purchased for $20.
Sponsored exclusively by Belpre Savings Bank, tickets will be available at the Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce office and the bank, plus local ticket outlets including Kroger, The Churn, Bob's Market, and Belpre Municipal Building. Proceeds go to support Homecoming events.
The Buddy Bass Tournament and Kids Fishing Derby, presented by Frontier Bassmasters and BACC, will be Aug. 2. The fishing tournament is at the Belpre boat ramp at 7 a.m., with an entry fee of $60 per boat and $2,500 in cash prizes. The Kids Fishing Derby begins at 9 a.m. at Civitan Park pond.
