Martha P. Wickens, 89, of Caldwell, Ohio, formerly of Dexter City, died Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell.

She was born Nov. 21, 1924, in Dexter City, daughter of the late Roy and Stella Henninger Wickens.

She attended Dexter City School, and she was a member of the Dexter City United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, making crafts and she loved her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Inez Wickens; and one brother and his wife, Charles W. and Jane Wickens. Surviving are two nieces, Sandra (William) Yockey of Morristown, and Sally (Roger) Nichols of Fleming; one nephew, Lee R. "Butch" (Cathy) Wickens of Belmont; her great-nieces and nephews, Rhonda (Todd) Tisko, Tammy Cesear, Todd Yockey, Sally (Adam) Nichols, Lorie (Chris) Eddy, Chris (Katina) Emory and Audrey Wickens and her fiance, P.C.; great-great-nieces, Maria, Shelby, Mackenna and Morganne; and one great-great-nephew, Kolten.

Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Sunday, July 27, at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Bill Pickenpaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell.
