Mark E. Grubb, 78, of Beverly, Ohio, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at his home.
He was born March 13, 1936, in Malta, Ohio, son of Mark H. and Julia Noyes Grubb.
He retired from Kardex in Marietta after many years as a typesetter. He graduated from M&M High School in McConnelsville in 1954. He was a member of St. Savior By The River in Eagleport, Ohio, Marietta Amateur Radio Club, 34-year member of AA, Waterford Grange, and was active in the John Dodge Senior Citizens. He enjoyed vacationing in Colorado.
He was married Jan. 23, 1965, to Shirley Wise Grubb, who survives. Also surviving are four children, Jeanne Ann Ginther and husband Donald of Beverly, Lois Irene Reitter and husband John of Centerburg, Ohio, Daniel Harold Grubb and wife Ashley of Belpre, and Timothy Grubb and wife Brooke of Little Hocking; five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Cole Thompson, Ian Reitter, Dylan Grubb and Ethan Grubb; and a sister, Carol Ann Tvedt of St. Claire, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Daniel Grubb.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 16, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly, with Father James Ryerson officiating. Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, at the funeral home.
