James G. Skinner, 48, of Beverly, Ohio, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 16, 1966, in Beverly, Ohio. He is the son of James and Bambi Eddleblute Lockhart and the late James Russell Skinner. He was a CDL driving instructor for Mid-Ohio Valley Truck Driving School. He graduated from Waterford High School in 1984. He was married July 22, 2011, to Jodie Cook Skinner, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Jessica Morgan McFarland and husband Michael of Zanesville, Christopher West of Gillette, Wy., and Cory Parker and wife Kayla of Marietta; two grandchildren, Morgan Celeste McFarland of Zanesville, and Maddison Mae West of Gillette, Wy.; his parents, James and Bambi Lockhart of Waterford; three sisters, Lise Burns and husband Bruce of Watertown, Jami Biedel and husband John of Waterford, and Layne Place and husband Rod of Beverly; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, James Russell Skinner; a niece, Tawni Morris; and a cousin, Jerry Dupre.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly, with Evang. Zack Waite officiating. Friends may call 2-8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 19, and 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the funeral home. A celebration of his life will follow at the home of Rod and Layne Place.
