Officers investigated a report Wednesday of child endangerment at 230 Faye Ave. Summons for child endangerment are being requested for Kenneth R. Rogers, 27, and Astin A. Oliver, 31, both of that address.
Kenneth R. Nutter, 70, of 5056 Veto Road, Vincent, was riding his lawn mower Monday when his tractor suddenly stopped. When Nutter attempted to restart the tractor he observed flames emanating from under the hood. The Dunham Fire Department responded and extinguished the blaze. The tractor was a total loss.
Edward A. Blume, 74, of 2815 Turkeyhen Road, Fleming, reported Tuesday that an unknown suspect used his Social Security number to file an Ohio income tax return for 2013.
A deputy requested a summons Wednesday for a 14-year-old Lower Salem resident to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by underage possession of tobacco. The teenager was found in possession of smokeless tobacco during a morning assembly at Fort Frye High School and later found to also be in possession of an electronic cigarette.
A deputy arrested a 17-year-old Whipple resident Wednesday for delinquency by domestic violence. During a disagreement with his grandmother, the teenager threw a book and hit his grandmother in the head and shoulder. The teenager stormed off and when he returned to where his grandmother was seated on the floor, he kicked her in the back and ribs on her left side.

Marcus G. Boothby, 19, of 708 Front St. Apt. 20, Marietta, was arrested Tuesday for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Dallas W. Farnsworth, 41, of 122 Harmar St., Marietta, was arrested Tuesday for disorderly conduct by intoxication, resisting arrest, possession of drugs and criminal trespassing, all misdemeanors.
Joshua S. Bennett, 35, of 4512 N. State Route 376 NW Apt. 113, McConnelsville, was arrested Wednesday for gross sexual imposition, a felony.
Edward R. Chancey, 55, of 323 Oakwood Ave., Marietta, was arrested Wednesday for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Robert E. Boston Jr., 48, of 1145 BF Goodrich Road, Marietta, was arrested Wednesday for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
