The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:
Krystal K. Carpenter, 34, of 220 Pennsylvania Ave. Apt. 1, Marietta, was arrested Saturday for felony charges of illegal conveyance of items into a detention facility and possession of drugs and misdemeanor charges of OVI, driving under a suspended license, possession of drugs and failure to obey the right of way.
Dustin A. Burwell, 25, of 1420 Braun Road, Belpre, was arrested Saturday for a felony charge of obstruction of justice and a misdemeanor charge of interference with custody.
Juan N. Nunez, 28, of 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 42, Marietta, was arrested Saturday for being an illegal alien and for a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence.
Paul W. Boling, 36, of 319 McGill Road, Vincent, was arrested Saturday for being a fugitive from justice, a felony.
Robert D. Goodnight Jr., 36, of 1115 15th St., Parkersburg, was arrested Saturday for theft and for violating the terms of a protection order, both misdemeanors.
James R. Cooke III, 51, of Marietta, was arrested Sunday for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor.
Erin M. Gandee, 31, of 342 Damon Road, Waterford, was arrested Sunday for using a weapon while intoxicated and two counts of child endangering, all misdemeanors.
Jaime Machen-Salazar, 24, of 540 College Parkway Apt. 104, Parkersburg, was arrested Sunday for being an illegal alien, for a felony count of forgery and for misdemeanor counts of OVI, operating a vehicle without a license and for driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
Melody A. Keene, 60, of 610 Cutler St., Marietta, was arrested Sunday for failure to appear, a misdemeanor.
Christopher L. Cheshire, 25, of 821 Quincy Hill Road, Parkersburg, was arrested Monday for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor.
Brittany M. Martin, 28, of 100A Linwood Ave., Marietta, was arrested Monday for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor.
Danielle A. Dalton, 21, of 1663 Lincoln Heights, Pomeroy, was arrested Monday for violating the terms of her probation, a felony.
Dustin W. Slagle, 21, of 4895 Meadowlark Drive, Lorain, was arrested Monday for violating the terms of his probation, a felony.
Ricky Mugrage, of 421 Phillips St., reported a theft Tuesday of medication from his home by a known, adult female. A warrant has been requested for Lindsey M. Tornes, 24, for safecracking and theft of a dangerous drug.
Vickie M Thompson, 31, of 300 Starlight Drive, was arrested Tuesday in Marysville by Marietta Police Department officers on a warrant for failure to appear for pretrial on a theft charge.
Officers investigated a breaking and entering Tuesday that happened overnight at Rinky Dinks Flea Market, at 404 Fort Harmar Drive. Entry was gained by breaking a window on the Pearl Street side of the building. DVDs were found to be missing from one of the vendor's booths.
A deputy requested summonses Friday for David L. Antill, 58, of 1245 McGill Road, Vincent, and his live-in girlfriend, Cynthia Misner, 47, for disorderly conduct by fighting. During an argument over a guest in their home, the two slapped and choked each other. Neither reported being in fear for his or her safety during the dispute.
Erin M. Gandee, 31, of 342 Damon Road, Waterford, was arrested Saturday for using a weapon while intoxicated and for two counts of child endangering. Gandee's 11-year-old daughter reported her mother had been consuming alcohol and pointed a gun at her own head and then fired two shots from a rifle into a wooded area behind her home. The daughter retrieved and locked the weapon away when Gandee left it unattended. She and Gandee's 8-year-old son fled the home. Gandee admitted drinking 12 beers following a fight with her boyfriend that evening but denied being suicidal.
Carrie Allen, 26, of 4024 1/2 Cedar St., New Boston, reported Saturday the father of her children, Juan Navarez, 28, 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 42, Marietta, choked her. Allen was at Navarez's apartment to exchange custody of their children when an argument erupted and Navarez choked Allen to the point at which she almost lost consciousness. Allen stated she believed Navarez was going to kill her. Navarez was arrested for domestic violence. He is also being held as an illegal alien.
A customer at the Barlow Dollar General, at 10282 State Route 550, reported Saturday that two children were left unattended inside a vehicle outside the store. Parents Kylee Lashley, 22, and Shawn Cuthbertson, 20, both of 318 Third St., Beverly, admitted leaving the children-a 2-year-old and a 2-month-old child-inside the vehicle while they were inside for five minutes. The deputy requested summonses for Lashley and Cuthbertson for two counts of child endangering.
Deputies responded to the scene of death of a 69-year-old Warren Township resident. The woman's death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.
Deputies responded Monday to a domestic dispute at the home of Alford Wilson, 62, at 427 Barnett Ridge Road, Belpre. Wilson admitted being involved in an argument with his wife over marital issues but said no physical violence occurred. Wilson's wife agreed and the case was closed as unfounded.
Deputies responded Monday to the scene of death of a 71-year-old Marietta Township resident. The man was found pinned under his riding mower on a steep slope on his property. The emergency room physician said the cause of the man's death could have been cardiac-related but she was not certain. No foul play is suspected.
Deputies and the Warren Fire Department responded Tuesday to a vehicle fire at the residence of William E. Hague, 35, at 370 Lang Farm Road, Marietta. Hague had just parked his 2003 Chevy Silverado and was feeding his animals when his neighbor ran to him and informed him the vehicle was on fire. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames but quickly extinguished by the fire department. The cause of the fire appears to be electrical in nature.
A deputy requested summonses Tuesday for Donald Bartimus Jr., 34, of 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, and his wife Katherine, 33, for theft. While Donald filled out a DVD rental form at Par Mar at 8600 State Route 339, Vincent, surveillance video showed Katherine stepping behind the counter and placing two or three packs of cigarettes in her purse. Donald also put a 5 Hour Energy drink in his pocket. Donald stated that he and his wife were high on Xanax at the time and admitted stealing the items.
Sean C. Schwendeman, 44, of 4725 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, reported Tuesday he believes a relative may have stolen his recently filled prescription medication. Schwendeman was unsure if the relative actually took his medication so he declined to pursue the matter further.
