"Union fat-cats...myth or reality?"

So...you think labor unions are run by cigar chomping "Union Fat Cats", who receive outrageous salaries and benefits, while living a life of luxury comparable to Saudi Arabian Princes, lording their unrestrained power over the entire United States of America... all on the backs of the union-enslaved workers they represent. Here's your chance to prove it.

They "work for" the same guy that tried to stock the Labor Relations Board with his cronies.

Don't I remember a certain US Supreme Court ruling taking that Obama body to heel recently? h ttp://w ww.employerlawreport.c om/2014/06/articles/labor-relations/u-s-supreme-court-rules-against-the-nlrb-in-recess-appointments-case/

According to a January 2011 Bureau of Labor Statistics report, workers who belong to a union typically earn higher pay than non-union workers doing the same kind of job. Although it varies based on sector and occupation, the overall averages are striking.

$917 = Median weekly earnings in 2010 of union members.

$717 = Median weekly earnings in 2010 of non-union workers.

That's a yearly difference in salary of $10,400 for union members vs. non-union members.

Union members earn an average of $4.95 more per hour - which equates to a yearly difference of $10,300.

Although it varies based on sector and occupation, the union difference for workers across the board is undeniable.

Since you are entirely too biased to read correctly I would guess this is WRONG. Post up a direct link (besides wiki) that we can refer to..

The median weekly income for union workers was $943 in 2012, compared with $742 for nonunion workers. Add that to better benefits and being union is a good thing ! Unions built the middle class !Apparently there IS some things worth fighting for !I don't know about you greek but a couple of hundred dollars more a week and better benefits sure will make sane people want to be union !

I apologize to all my decent union friends. But not to you Munster. You make them all look like KOOKS...

thegreek

NOT if they are run by morons like you... The big corps are probably laughing their butts off at you and TRUMKA s greed !!! The ones that are forced to join a union are gonna be the ones uprising and they will be funded by the big corps !!! All the tools needed to win strikes !!
