Daily breaking news and news the liberal media doesn't want you to know, won't report, or just daily news issues.

Americans for many years have had to rely on left leaning biased news reporting from liberal media such as NBC, ABC, and CBS and the New York Times. As most of these outlets struggle to remain on the air and in print, the new media is flourishing and people are hearing both sides of the issues. This forum will provide people with a place to discuss daily news issues of any kind or discuss articles not printed or aired by the liberal news outlets.

"and your erroneous opinions!"

What is funny is that you have yet to counter any of my opinions besides with a lot of bluster.

I've shown how Obamacare was not as important to the voters of the last election and implying that health care got Obama elected is soundly false.

I've shown how Obama could be compared to the villains of Animal Farm.

I will admit that you have shown how you were in error to compare Congress to the villains of Animal Farm because they did not break any rules but followed them.

It has been a fun week debating with you.

"By the way, I will probably not respond to your latest silly accusations in Sunday's PKB News & Sentinel because I have better things to do.."

I already said that if you want to...go right ahead. But at least have the balls to admit it would be to soothe your ego.

I find it amusing that Marietta Times likes people to go against you. N&S didn't put up the letters but the Times couldn't wait.

"Paul Ryan and Rand Paul have said in public appearances.."

I'm glad you know of two people that read Rand. At least that makes part of what you write true.

Though your use of Rand is quite frequent. It borders on the Tea Party mentioning socialism everytime they talk about Obama.

"Rand's hatred for the poor was demonstrated.."

You do understand the concept of projection right? It seems that every Republican that wants to curb a form of socialism in the country must be a follower of Rand to you.

You have a very simple way of looking at things. How sad.

"even though you seem to tout your ignorance of facts as a "virtue""

You are quite imaginative. I simply said a fact that I haven't read Rand. There was no bragging involved.

Though you do like to imply quite often that almost every far right conservative must like Rand, though you are very ignorant in what they have read.

Actually I am a safety nut.. I keep my hunting weapons stored safely with trigger locks and if I have self defense weapons, I will not divulge how I store or not store them...I may just rely on mace.. Who knows..

Define sleeping with a gun.. Be more specific..

combat-style weapon and three magazines -

Well there you go... Proof positive that I am a safe individual that believes in gun rights...

There you go again blaming the gun and profiling 23 year olds before you know the facts. I'll reserve my commment until after the truth comes out...

"Sound familiar?"

Not really...I never read anything of Rands or seen any interviews involving Rand.

That and considering I was a bit young at the time so I never watched late night tv in the early 80's.

"Your short-term memory is pathetic!"

Lol...some of those quotes came back from years ago. How do you define short term memory again?

I'm sorry if I stepped on your toes but your use of Rand in regards to conservatives is a bit tired and predictable.

"attributing one's traits to others is called "transference", a standard gimmick from the Newt Gingrich/Karl Rove playbook"

Hmm, so without knowing if anyone you wrote about actually read Rand..you pretty much did just that. You wanted to transfer Rand's traits to those you were being critical of...regardless if they ever read Atlas Shrugged.

"Don't blame me for mentioning Ayn Rand."

I didn't blame "you" at all for the repetative and needless use of Ayn Rand in all those quotes.

It must be an obsession !!!A fantasy !!!A nether world !!!Purgatory !!!???

Notice the theme? This person has a thing for comparing people or their actions with those of Ayn Rand. There are other examples but I think you get the idea.

(18May13) "This standard might indeed be a problem for someone who regards junk like Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" as "classical literature"!"

(28Sept13) "Their ultimate goal is nothing less than the total destruction ("dismantling" via "defunding") of all federal programs (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, HUD, SNAP, "Head Start", EPA, and of course "Obamacare") initiated during or since the "New Deal" - plus earlier programs like Teddy Roosevelt's Pure Food and Drug Act and Woodrow Wilson's IRS that they say have "interfered" with their Ayn Randian fantasy-ideal of "pure free enterprise.""

Just something humorous I noticed..see if you can guess the author of these snippets:

(28Mar10) "it becomes apparent they get more inspiration from the likes of Ayn Rand (the iconoclastic author of "Atlas Shrugged" and "The Virtue of Selfishness" is a major influence upon today's self-absorbed neocons)"

(17Dec11) "For some, the iconic image of Santa and his sleigh have been replaced this year by a "joyous" vision of the late "Atlas Shrugged" author Ayn Rand driving her fire-belching Mercedes into a crowd of unemployed "Occupy Wall Street" protesters."

(16Nov12) "but by the views of extremist TV/radio demagogues like Glenn Beck, and fringe types like the 1950s atheist writer Ayn Rand (whose silly theories about "makers" vs. "takers" have influenced the "thinking" of many rightwing politicos,"

shroud of undeniable protection been exhibited. the deity which is Obama can do no wrong and shall save them and provide for them in such a glorious manner that we all should kneel in his presence and shower him with exaltations for he is the chosen one in which they give their existence and their future. And they all say Amen. Pass the plate.

thegreek, good morning and thanks for your support. i feel confident in what i posted and have no regrets. i do genuinely like and respect fred. we all make mistakes and misspeak from time to time. sometimes we even slip up and reveal whom we really are or how we think others are. fred misread my call out against classroom sexual abuse as simply a slam against his infallible teachers. i feel confident that he stands with me in opposition to such actions, but he enjoys a good verbal scrap and too often i am happy to oblige. if he took a few moments to read my posts in the comments section of several related stories, he would find that i support our teachers and promote handing them back their classrooms. his protection of our "I don't know President" is not surprising. mockery of all aspects of any political office holder is and has been part-in-parcel of our culture and history. only recently with the election of our first outwardly apparent mixed race President has this shr
