Daily breaking news and news the liberal media doesn't want you to know, won't report, or just daily news issues.

Americans for many years have had to rely on left leaning biased news reporting from liberal media such as NBC, ABC, and CBS and the New York Times. As most of these outlets struggle to remain on the air and in print, the new media is flourishing and people are hearing both sides of the issues. This forum will provide people with a place to discuss daily news issues of any kind or discuss articles not printed or aired by the liberal news outlets.

They put up barracades to an open air WWT memorial in Washington. That would like closing the boat ramp or Muskingum Park if the City of Marietta shut down.

It is just a memorial. Also, when the WW2 Veterans went around the barracades there were Park Service Police looking on. Smell like the Sequester BS all over again. Inflict the maximum amount of pain to get your way.

Why doesn't the president just hold his breath until the Rebulicans buckle?

I think they quit paying the people that run the park BeRight. Same as the veterans sites in DC. No one there to collect money or give tours.

How do you shut down the "Grand Canyon" or Yosemite National Park? I saw a picture of Yosemite and the Park Service blocked of a 4 lane highway? Why could people not use the d a m n road? Makes no sense. Think about it.

good morning moderation! i hope all is well in your world. i agree, a strong plan it is not. however it is a safe and legal plan, as well as one that will administer itself. besides, i can deduct it off of my taxes as a gift! how great is that?! hmmm being from down south, i always thought that sugar and caffeine were a "food" group all unto itself. go figure.

good morning fred. although i am not rocker, i will address "smokegate". newsworthiness of his lie, distortion of truth or simply the lack of concept of time indicates that first and foremost he is a documented liar. the fact that he, his wife and his staff have proven that he is a liar would make it worth reporting. what is it you always say about not being able to create your own facts? i think he has in this case. something as monumental as quitting smoking is a milestone that a smoker does not readily forget. if you were to see the light and quit yourself, you would understand what i mean. in retrospect, maybe you will join me in supporting our president and say that maybe he should actually smoke more and more often. maybe if we send him a few extra cartons of camel non-filters or even pall malls, we can get him to increase his consumption to at minimum 3-4 packs a day. that should relieve some of the strees that he has to endure while teeing up. apparently some fiddle

In Fred’s letter to the editor this morning he states “there has been a marked drop in insurance premiums since the implementation of the early stages of the Affordable Healthcare Act”. Where in the world is he getting this information from? The administration is able to point to the rates that are lower than they were expected to be by the Congressional Budget Office. But But But……………………………. But the bad news is that those rates they are bragging about are much higher than what people are currently paying! What a bunch of hooey.

Caught In another "open mic" situation obama told a UN human rights official that "he hasn't smoked in 6 years".

He smoked in 2008, 2009, and 2010.

More good news on a Gov't shutdown:

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy said the agency will “effectively shut down” unless Congress approves stopgap funding by Oct. 1, according to a report from the Associated Press.

Without the stopgap funding, McCarthy said the agency will be unable to pay employees, and only a core group of staff members would remain on duty in case the agency has to respond to a significant emergency. According to the Associated Press, most EPA function like drafting regulations and enforcing rules would remain stalled until government operations resume.

Obamacare showdown: I hope it goes all the way to Gov’t shutdown. Since the last shutdown, the Democrats made more and more Gov’t employees “essential” workers who would not be affected. A Gov’t shutdown would result in the same thing the Big Bad Sequester: talking points for the media and Obama but in realty a F A R T in a windstorm.
