Did presidential wannabe Mitt Romney "jump the shark" by issuing false statements about the tragedy in Libya and the riots in Egypt before he knew all the facts?

Here's the timeline ... A crazy, bigoted American film-maker (apparently connected with the crazy Quran-buring Florida "pastor") released a film making fun of Moslem beliefs. Without authorization (in an attempt to forestall violence) the U.S. embassy in Cairo issued an apology for what the crazy film-maker did. Riots erupted in Cairo. THEN Romney came out and accused President Obama of "apologizing" to terrorists. Ambassador Stevens and three others were killed in Benghazi, Libya. THEN Romney spoke out and suggested that Obama is trying to curb the "Constitutional free speech" rights of the crazy film-maker to express "American values" (I kid you not!). THEN, Obama sent 200 Marines to Benghazi to protect the embassy ... THEN local wingnuts like Stiff started with the Muslim-bashing rhetoric ...
