In other words, like Mitt Romney, he "doesn't worry" about that so-called 47% who allegedly pay NO income taxes and "depend upon government for food, housing, and stuff like that" ... While many pay more attention to other offices like members of Congress or state legistators, it should be remembered that IT IS THE JOB OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO DEAL DIRECTLY WITH CONSTITUENTS ON MATTERS RELATING TO ROADS, BRIDGES, INFRASTRUCTURE, PROPERTY ISSUES, ENVIRONMENT, SCHOOLS, AND (PERHAPS MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL) SPENDING OF STATE & FEDERAL FUNDS ... If Mr. Feathers (or Mr. White who also has exhibited elitist tendancies) doesn't believe that America is a DEMOCRACY, he most likely doesn't believe that it counts on a local level either! The only pure democratic laws in the US are the initiatives that some states have. ~~~wiki Posted 75 days ago. ReasonableVoiceI really hate to tell you this, but America is not a Democracy. It's a Constitutionally Limited Republic. So, the candidate was right. Also, even if he was not right, you cannot equate him saying that we're not a Democracy with him not worrying about 47% of America not paying taxes. That's a leap in logic that is baffling to say the least. Just how did you manage to be wrong about America's government system AND somehow strangle out an equation to uncaring attitudes? I can't figure out how you did it. Posted 98 days ago. Post a Comment |
