Will Democrats learn from their defeat in the mid-term elections?

While some Democrats like West Virginia's Joe Manchin won election, and other candidates like Governor Strickland of Ohio and Joe Sestak of Pennsylvania waged valiant, albeit unsuccessful, campaigns in the mid-term elections, some self-satisfied office-holders or wannabe office-holders underestimated their opponents' tenacity. They sat on the sidelines, and more or less wasted many opportunities to tell voters what they really stood for ... Some, like Representative Charlie Wilson, simply went into hiding through most of the campaign - putting forth a barrage of annoying last-minute robo-calls, hoping that such feeble efforts would magically propel them to victory It didn't happen! ... In my view, these candidates deserved to lose ... They failed to learn the lesson that "the best defense is a good offense" ... Hopefully, they'll come together in 2012 to secure a second term for President Obama ... Maybe they need a sip of tea to fortify their nerves!
