Taxed too much?

What a sad place the USA has become. Phil Mickelson, golfer, had to apologize after he complained about being taxed at an effective rate of 62%. 62% of what he makes goes to the 47%. What a sad sad commentary on what life have become in the USA.

I know why Gitmo is open. Mod, your guy Obama said he was going to close Gitmo because he did not “Get” Gitmo. It was a good campaign gimmick Now he can't find anyone who wants to take the dirt that is incarcerated there. He has realized that they are truly bad people there. thanks for the opening.

What is thievery is putting the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, the Pom Pom boy's tax cuts and the prescription drug doughnut hole law on a credit card, and now wanting to recover those deficits at the expense of those that already have so little.

Its not thievery if its just getting them to pay their share , its what they should have been paying for the last 12 yrs and maybe we wouldnt have a deficit !

good evening workingstiff. i would be willing to wager that even if the wealthy paid the exact percentage as he, it would still not be enough. i feel certain that i pay taxes that he doesn't even know exists, but i also take deductions that he does not qualify for. that is not due to my income level but due to the investments, expenditures and losses i experience.if you are in business you know exactly what i am talking about. you can bet he takes every legal deduction(loophole) that he can as well as every other "tax the rich" screamer out there including their hero politicians. to be truthful, this is a dead talking point with him on my part.

So it was about punishing the successful people ie, soak the rich. Class warfare is for losers, pal. Come up with a solution.
