Yet, NRA honcho Wayne LaPierre, and the usual gaggle of hotheads that support him, say that Americans need to be "ready if necessary" to use these weapons to fight against "dictatorship". What "dictatorship"? This isn't Syria or Nazi Germany. The only actions relating to guns that President Obama took during his first term was to allow guns to be taken on board AMTRAK trains and brought into national parks ... Do the paranoid and delusional beliefs of some (though not all) gun-advocates disqualify them from being mentally sound enough to purchase or own guns? The 2008 "Heller v District of Columbia" ruling says that the government DOES have a right to prohibit mentally-defective Member Commentsmoderationstick, my man, you diminish your credibility when you suggest that the nra didn't spend any money to influence that vote. the lobby has to be paid, and that is not chicken feed. and that is only the surface. Posted 33 days ago. stickhaulerReally free? I've seen no proof the NRA spent any money to defeat these bills, Bloomberg however spent 12 Million on ads screaming for Americans to support the bills. Did you call either of your Senators? I did, both of them. Brown's staff member who answered the phone acted as if she could care less what I thought. Portman's staff said they'd pass along my comments, and related that they'd gotten a lot of calls, with most asking that the Senator vote against the bills. R1KRA8"Reid, and other majority leaders before him, have developed a clever workaround: Just change your vote at the last minute if it looks as though you’re going to lose, then move to reconsider. In theory, any supporter of the bill or nomination in question could do the same, but traditionally it’s been the majority leader."

Kunectdotsstick - When you say, "those murdered children are merely props these evil people choose to use to gain what they want", you've said a mouthful. Obama using people wearing medical lab jackets to appear a 'supporters' of his ObamaCare legislation. Obama using, on more than one occasion, disarmed, FORCED, law enforcement personnel to appear to be supportive of his gUN-control initiatives. If they don't keep Biden under watch, I doubt if it would be beyond that man to tack up some blood-stained dolls, behind the podium, when he is enlightening us about how we should surrender our freedoms. Posted 36 days ago. stickhaulerReally Freddie, you mean like Democrats forced a 60 vote majority deal when National Concealed Carry Reciprocity came up for a vote a few years back? So, doing that when YOUR side wants to invoke it is somehow good, but when it's used against you, it's bad? ***** when you don't get your way? See, I'm not gloating over yesterday's vote, because it is fact that these same anti-gun folks are still there, looking for another way to push through their agenda. But cut the BS about this being about Newtown! Diane Feinstein was asked during Obama's first term when she was going to introduce her "new" AWB. She said she'd do it at a time and place when she chose to. The entire charade we've seen the past few weeks are a result of the left wanting to push this for years, those murdered children are merely props these evil people choose to use to gain what they want.
