President Obama calls for the minimum wage to be set at $9 dollars an hour. What moron beside this president thinks you can raise a family on $9 an hour?

Where are the unions on this? $9 an hour? What a joke.

At 22 bucks/he they could at least afford an AR 15 or two.

Senator: Should hourly minimum wage be $22? Elizabeth Warren, famous Native American Senator, said that a much higher baseline would be appropriate if wages were tied to productivity gains.

Now thats what I am talking about.

Going back to golf: maybe they did use a cart. There was a great shot of Air Force One sitting on the Tarmac, surrounded by security and with the other spare Air force One reported to be sitting out of camera site, plus all the support staff, waiting for BO to finish his round with the former number one philanderer in golf. Maybe there was no caddy but I bet that trip cost a fortune.

if that was your original intent, why would you not have deducted the taxes prior to your claim? in addition, it is rare that an employer would honor the no deduction request by any employee. now if you were an independent contractor then the employer would not deduct your required taxes. however, you would not be an employee and it would not matter whether you were part-time or full-time. bottom line is that although you earn more money, you do not neccessarily keep all of it as you implied. that was what you originally implied wasn't it or maybe in your pocket has another meaning. either way i am just messing with you. it is not all that important. enjoy your day.

does all of it end up in your pocket like you first claimed? i mean all of it...if not then you neglected to reveal the truth of what will end up in your pocket. your math was not complete from employer to pocket. you were wrong!

with or without intent, you gave false information. one thing is true. employers would see a loss of the whole $46.00 but the employee would not see the "in the pocket benefit" of the whole $46.00. for any sticklers out there, yes the employer and employee through filing of annual income taxes may get a refund or tax credit to recoup some of the money but in most instances not the full amount.

is a tax increase a cut in wages? tell obama you did not appreciate his recent tax increase resulting in a cut in wages. your fuzzy math unfortunately leads to the term dumb-masses in the dissemination of false information.

munster, you may gross an additional $46.00 per 40 hour pay period, but that amount will not end up in your pocket as you put it. you neglected to consider the deductions that are applied to your gross income. while this is a minor point, it does indicate that the initial joy of any increase in salary is quickly soured by the actual "in-pocket" amount. it may be beneficial to either look at a friends paystub or actually cut a payroll check these days for this to become painfully true.
