lts- it is no more than a matter of perspective, mi amigo.
We all heard the president say “red line” but even Harry Reid does not want anything to do with this. All I see today is a bunch of people looking for a bucket to wash and get this off their hands. The thing about this that is so sad, and that includes the people writing in this column is that we are arguing over what Obama said and the use of Chemical weapons. HOW ABOUT THE 100,000 ALREADY KILLED WITH CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS IN SYRIA? SOMEONE WANTS TO ARGUE ABOUT IF BARACK NEEDS CONGRESSIONAL OK TO ATTACK SYRIA OVER CHEMICAL WEAPONS BUT IT IS OK THAT BARACK WILL CONTINUE TO NOTHING AS ASSAD CONTINUES TO KILL HIS PEOPLE WITH BULLETS AND BOMBS?
speaking of Putin. if Obama values his Peace Prize, he should make darn sure he doesn't have it with him when he thanks Putin for saving his arse on this one. remember Putin has sticky fingers as evidenced by exhibit #1...the Super Bowl Ring. come to think of it...Clinton may have suffered from "sticky" fingers also. was that bony finger glistening during that famous news conference? inquiring minds want to know.
thegreek...hope you are better. it's always a bad time to have the flu. until claritan, i suffered immensely twice a year with allergy and flu-like symtoms. the stuff works great without the "speed-like" qualities. :-) one note however, if you decide to take it, go to the doctor and geta prescription for it ( you can still do that). it will be much less expensive than paying over-the counter pricing. i get a 30 day suppply for $12.00. get better soon.
shirley....don't call me shirley. sometimes fired...er i mean retired employees always seem to migrate back to the last place of their "perceived" granduer. i think maybe hillary did not think that Obama and Kerry had screwed it up badly enough...so like a good mother, she had to make sure that it would be as screwed up as possible. it's funny in that like the large cats, she has to come back to scent mark what she thinks is her rightful territory. so if you see Obama or Kerry walking in a circle sniffing thigh-high furniture legs...you'll understand what they are doing. watch for the curled upper-lip. it's a sure sign.
dust-up you mentioned your earlier post, personally i think the ramifications for both sides are still in play even today. the fight between the federal government and states is still on-going. from my viewpoint we are still in a "civil war"...it's just that some of the population does not realize it. time to choose sides again! btw....time for second cup of coffee. the first just isn't gettin' it.
fred, sorry to be a little slow in returning the "hi" to you. i hope you are well. your absense in all of this syria mess had me perplexed until rikra8 pointed me in the direction of the printed page. still i see that you managed to express your opposition to Obama on this issue while taking the opportunity to smear the past administration and all that are your political opposite. it would be refreshing to read a fair and indepth critique of the immense mistakes and mis-steps of this administration. i feel fairly certain that at the minimum, a mini-course if not a full course could be prepared and presented to political science students. it could be a wonderful study of idealism verses realism or...simply put...Obama gets Schooled. although i will not watch the deceiver-in-chief tonight, it will be interesting to read about how masterfully he handled this situation. sorry,, i just threw up a little in my mouth. rinse-spit-repeat...ok it's all better. in regards to the little
And you can only score one on your two attempt, because you are a score- keeper, rik.
And to valueguy, sorry you were indeed correct.
Sorry greek, that was intended to be addressed to you.
valueguy- I do apologize for fingering you for the bush/cheney reference, although it was mentioned in a fair context as an attempt to qualify many Americans opinions' concerning the syrian issue.
If it is true I will have to give Kerry credit for that.
Now Kerry is telling congress we need to do this surgical strike to save the US standing in the world and teach Russia and the others a lesson. Meanwhile, CNN says the fighters in Syria turned over their chemical weapons to the UN.......????
Memory refresh - Oneill said = Not only are folks thinking about the Bush/Cheney con job re. Iraq, they (at least the ones who don't suffer from long-term memory lapse)are thinking about LBJ and the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution. That is a typical democrat tactic, lie to make your competitor look bad !! I was gonna apologize to Oneill for being caustic to him last night because I had the flu.
Kerry is administration. We can speculate 'til the cows come home, but this proposition is/could be a wonderful thing.to review, the Russians wanted nothing to do with a coalition, now they can accomplish what they must have wanted initially. for the overall good value of the world, this could be the solution.
'She', being hillary. It is clear you have twice erred.
Obama went to Congress for approval specifically for political cover. Obama has maintained that he has the authority to conduct a limited military strike without Congress’s approval. So if he does not need congress, he must been trying to pass the buck and protect his sinking poll number. Putin has now put himself in a position to look like a peacekeeper by agreeing with Kerry remark (and now know it was Kerry’s and not the administration) to put the chemical weapons under international control. Let see if the president can pry his thing out of his mouth during his speech tonight.
I think it was Oneil who brought up Bush Cheney. He is real big on revisionist history.
moderation said-" lts- she's baaaaaack (: "
thegreek brought them up valueguy, but that may not matter to you. So just consider how little your phony protests matter to me.
